Go to Blaise Castle and find the footprint of a giant

Learning City
A young boy tracing giant footprints painted onto a playground.

Why do it?

There was an angry giant called Goram who left a footprint somewhere in the grounds of Blaise Castle – who wouldn’t want to see that?

How to do this in Bristol

Get to Blaise Castle and start looking…

Someone there might tell you the footprint isn’t a footprint at all but rock carved out by water over 10,000 years ago . . . . . but that sounds just as unlikely as the story of the giant, doesn’t it?

So look for anywhere where there might be an angry giant – or some limestone rock that could be carved by water.

What you will need

Footwear for walking

Safety tips

It would be a good idea to let someone at home know where and when you are going, and when you plan to be back.
