Why do it?

Bristol is world-famous for it's film makers - join in this city tradition.

How to do this in Bristol

With technology at your fingers tips and a few friends it shouldn't be difficult to get started on this challenge. Select which 80by18 activities you want to try out and think about who wants to film and who wants to be filmed. Make sure you are all happy with the arrangements before you start out - not everybody wants to be the next Hollywood star!

Here's a few people who can help you on your way:

What you will need

  • A video camera or a smart phone

  • Video editing software

  • Access to a computer and internet

Taking it further

Take this challenge further by thinking carefully about the aspects of filming such as light, character, music and plot - you never know you might turn out to be the next Steven Spielberg!

Safety tips

Remember that your video is going out into the public domain so carefully consider what you want to say and the image you want to give out. Just as with any internet site avoid giving out personal information such as your full name or address. Think about who else is in the film and whether they and their parents have agreed to let you post them on-line.
